WE BELIEVE AND TEACH WHAT GOD SAYS IN THE BIBLE
We believe: The Bible is God’s Word, given by Him and completely true. It tells us everything we need to know about how to have a relationship with God. In it, He tells us that, because of our sin and His holiness, we are separated from God both in this life and forever.
The Bible says:
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23.
“The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23.
We believe: The Bible tells us there is nothing any of us can do, nor that any church or clergy can do in place of us, that could earn God’s forgiveness.
The Bible says:
“By grace you have been saved through faith. This is not your own doing. It is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.
We believe: The Bible tells us our inability to earn God’s forgiveness is why God sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross, in our place, for our sins, receiving the punishment we deserve. He was raised from death and lives today.
The Bible says:
“Christ Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24.
“We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over Him.” Romans 6:9.
We believe: The Bible tells us that, for those who respond to God by turning from their sin and trusting their lives to Jesus, their sins are forgiven and they are reconciled to a relationship with God that begins immediately and continues forever.
The Bible says:
“God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16.
“We also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” Romans 5:11.
